MARNE 36 # 196
Monday July 25, 2011
Naufrage Harbor, PEI
Still heading west on Hwy 16. Beautiful, gorgeous day... clear, sun, wind not to much - 8 to 10.
PEI countryside is a good drive. Alfalfa / hay cut and rolls in the fields.
Lobster traps stored on the docks of Naufrage Harbor. Many towns / villages have French names. Most signs in PEI are written dual-- English and French.
In between lobster season and most fishing boats are at anchor in the harbor.
Up over this little creaky wooden planked bridge (frame underneath is steel).. it creaked going over.
Another neat lighthouse, locals call here; Shipwreck Point. Short stop and head on west. We'll see how far we get today.
