Pictou, 3 Nova Scotia
Pictou --( Pick - 2 )- is an interesting town on the Northumberland Straight and the jumping off point to PEI. Architechture, especially the local quarried sandstone buildings downtown are beautiful structures.
The buildings are interesting... culture and people too. A wide range.
The churches were a distinct promenence in the town. A different architechture style than some of the old cathedral churches seen on this journey; very unique in their towering steeples. Down on the docks the steeples were visable above the tree / roof line of the town... almost prominent like a lighthouse.
The marina is the focal point of the town... life is ruled by the tides in most of these maritime villages. Here seems more tuned to tourism and a transit point to PEI - Prince Edward Island- ... Will catch the ferry to PEI tomorrow.
