To Corner Brook, Newfoundland #78

MARNE 24 #78

Wed July 13, 2011

Rocky Harbor, NFLD

Rain, fog, cool50* overcast am

To Corner Brook, NFLD

Late afternoon after a sideout to Woody Point and Trout River , head south on TCH 1 south - Trans Canada Hwy in hopes of making Corner Brook, NFLD for evening.

If we get past Deer Lake,... will make Corner brook... then tommorow the drive south to Port aux Basques will not be as rushed.

The ship back across the north sea to North Sydney, Nova Scotia has already been booked. Will make port call and board MV Blue Puttees, named for The Royal Newfoundland Regiment in late afternoon.

The overcast lifted a little and allowed some limited visability. Could see some neat rock strata in the roadway cuts. ... some ski slopes getting close to Marble Mountain and Corner Brook. NFLD is Green!
